Thank you for considering a volunteer role for the Healing Hearts Run. Your dedication and commitment to the run and Pacific Perinatal Foundation’s mission will be instrumental in creating a memorable and impactful event for participants and supporters alike.
VOLUNTEER ROLES & DESCRIPTIONS
Event Planning Committee
As a member of the Planning Committee, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for organizing and executing our charity run. Your main role will involve collaborating with fellow committee members to develop event strategies, coordinate logistics, and make critical decisions to ensure the Healing Hearts Run is a success. You will be involved in tasks such as organizing vendors, event promotion, creating event schedules, and overseeing the overall event planning process.
General Setup/Takedown
As a General Setup/Takedown Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in preparing the event site before the run and ensuring its smooth dismantling afterward. Your responsibilities will include assisting with setting up tents, tables, run/walk course signage, and ensuring that the event area is well-organized and welcoming for participants. After the event, you will help with the efficient takedown of equipment, cleaning up the area, and ensuring that everything is properly stored. The time requested is arriving 1hr prior (10am) and/or staying 1hr after (2pm)
Event Registration Table
As Registration Table Volunteer, you will be the warm and welcoming face of the event, providing a positive and supportive experience for participants. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with participant check-ins and answering any registration-related inquiries. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient registration process, as well as conveying essential event information to participants.
Start/Finish Line
As a Start/Finish Line Volunteer, you will be at the heart of the run, greeting participants as they begin their 2km or 5 km run/walk and celebrating their accomplishments as they cross the finish line. Your primary responsibilities will include directing participants to the starting line, ensuring a smooth and organized race start, and cheering on participants with enthusiasm and encouragement as they complete their run.
Floater
As a Floater Volunteer, you will be the flexible and adaptable support for various roles and tasks during the event. Your main responsibilities will involve filling in wherever needed, assisting different teams, and ensuring a seamless event experience. Whether it's helping ensure signage for the routes is placed correctly, providing relief for registration, supporting the start/finish line, or any other task that requires extra hands, your willingness to step in and lend support will be invaluable.
